The Season Is Over

We ended our first season last Saturday at Seaside with a 10-0 win over Manchester. It was our third win in a row to complete a 6-18 season. As I told the guys after the game, I was very proud and happy with the way we ended the season on such a high note. Next year if we can retain most of the key players from this year’s roster and add a few more, our goal will be to make the playoffs-finish in the top 8.

Thank Yous

Connor Green is at the top of the list because without him I doubt if this season would have happened. He designed our logo and uniforms and recruited several of our players.

Trey Blackmer & Will Vigneron were also captains with Connor. They led us in hitting and game appearances.

Tommy Roundy our manager who provided us a link to the past with the Yachtsmen and his father, Elliot and brother, Sam. Tommy is doing well after his operation in late July.

Bob Green was the first person I went to with my idea for a team in the NSBL. He was always there to listen, offer counsel and advice.

Frank Martin was a behind the scene contributor who brought drinks, helped me put up the banner, handed out programs, kept the pitch count and prepared the field. He never said no.

Dave Rodgers
a former Yachtsmen was very supportive and offered good advice.

Bill Crane for his support and fundraising advice.

Vincent Toomey was our scorekeeper for all 24 games and also reported our game results to the NSBL website.

Mike Cornell a former Yachtsmen who put up and took down our game day sandwich boards for all 12 home games.

Debbi Green was our photographer who took hundreds of pictures and posted them on Shutterfly.

Kent Wheeler from Marblehead Youth Baseball got us on the Seaside Park schedule for our Saturday games and also helped prepare the field.

Jon Caswell from Marblehead TV. Jon taped three of our home games which were shown at later times on MHTV.

Tim Short the executive director of Marblehead’s Park & Rec Department did his best to keep Seaside Park in shape for us.

Patrick Dever, the best bat boy in the NSBL!

Scott Cooper & Joe McDonnell of the Marblehead Reporter gave us great coverage.

Suzanne Naudin Graphic Design & Jenn Mears Web Design: Suzanne and Jenn did wonderful work for us. I highly recommend them.

A Special Thank You

To our 33 contributors who contributed $8,500 to our first year expenses. Their generosity allowed us to have some special things most NSBL teams cannot afford.

Our Fans

Thank you to all of you who came to our games. I saw you in the grandstand and on the benches in the outfield. Our players appreciated your support.

See you next year at Seaside!
